Ericka Silva
Ericka Silva is an experienced educator, Spanish teacher, Montessori educator, and the founder of Mi Mundo Montessori and Ludoteca en Español. With 19 years of experience in education, Ericka has dedicated her career to creating meaningful learning experiences that help children grow academically, socially, and with confidence in their Spanish language skills.
Ericka holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the Instituto Politécnico Nacional, a Texas Alternative Teaching Certificate, and Montessori certification from the Southwestern Montessori Training Center. She also holds a Master’s degree in Montessori Education from the Internationale Montessori Institute in collaboration with the University of Barcelona. Her professional training includes ESL and Gifted & Talented education.
Throughout her career, Ericka has worked with elementary students in bilingual and Spanish-language settings. Her dedication to education has been recognized with Teacher of the Year in 2022 and TIA Master Recognition in 2025.
As the Director of Ludoteca en Español, Ericka brings together her extensive teaching experience, Montessori background, and passion for Spanish language development to create a safe, structured, and engaging environment where children can practice Spanish naturally through conversation, games, exploration, and everyday interactions.
For Ericka, Ludoteca en Español is more than an after-school program—it is an opportunity for children to use Spanish, build confidence, connect with others, and enjoy learning through play.
